Two Sluice Gates Show on Alert-II Status

A number of sluice gate in capital have increased in the water level due to high intensity rainfall in capital since Sunday (2/8) to Monday (2/9).

We still monitor all sluice gates due to heavy rain still occurs in Jakarta. Now, there are 2 sluice gates have reached Alert II status

The Operations Control Center Officers (Pusdalops) of Jakarta Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Yanto said, his side continues to monitor the water level at 12 sluice gates. At least, there are 2 sluice gates have reached Alert II status such as Karet Sluice gates with 550 cm and Pasar Ikan Sluice gates with 210 cm.

"We still monitor all sluice gates due to heavy rain still occurs in Jakarta. Now, there are 2 sluice gates have reached Alert II status," said Yanto, Monday (2/9).

Meanwhile, there also 2 sluice gates with Alert III status such as Manggarai and Pulogadung sluice gates with water level of 770 cm and 650 cm each. Furthermore, Bendung Katulampa Sluice gate is still in normal level with 40 cm of water level. The same condition also occurs in Krukut Hulu Sluice gate by 130 cm, Pesanggrahan 115 cm, Angke Hulu 75 cm, Cipinang Hulu 115 cm, Sunter Hulu 50 cm, Pulo Gadung 650 cm, and Pluit Reservoir -20.

Besides causing water levels to rise, rain also made a number of roads in Jakarta Inundated. As reported, a total of 49 point roads in the capital were inundated with water levels around 10-80 cm.
